Tour dates!

They've added the Lollapalooza date yesterday.

By the way, I think the silence tells its own story. It's all pointing firmly towards the negative. Were it a temporary thing I am sure Robin would have said so by now and I'm sure the management would have put the word to people like Jarmo that this is happening and it would all be over as a discussion point like it was when we had confirmation Tommy was only with Soul Asylum temporarily.

If he has left updating the fans will be the last thing on Axl's mind. Replacing Finck is next to impossible. Either Slash or Bucket are the only options he has. He CANNOT bring in another new guitarist or the farce would become too much for even the fans of new GNR.

It won't be Slash or Buckethead. Buckethead is the same type of player as Bumblefoot, and you don't need two of them in the band. And Slash is pretty much a package deal with Duff and maybe Matt, so that won't happen either.

So either Finck is still in the band or we'd get another guitarist (again).

I think this is a HUGE set-back whether Robin is IN or OUT.

IN: Means he'll be unavailable for a year or so. Means CD is far from ready even at this point. Means he knows fuck all about what's going on with GnR.

OUT: Means we'll need another guitarist, something that can take a while. Means perhaps new negotiations concerning Robin's cut. COULD mean re-recording of Robin's parts.

Oh my god.. It's potentially devastating both ways...

  The weird thing is that this NIN tour will support the 4 Ghosts albums, they are awesome albums to me but only NIN fans will enjoy that, they are the total opposite of commercial, its prety much 4 instrumental albums, no vocals at all.
So, it wont be a big tour like "and all that could have been" or "BYIT", so either NIN has a new big project comming up or things in GNR are really bad, enough to get Robin to make that choice.

If Finck leaves, Axl should do whatever it takes to get Slash back. It will be like destiny....with Weiland quitting VR and Finck quitting GNR, it leaves things wide open for Slash getting back into GNR. I think if Slash came back, everyone who didn't think Axl should keep the GNR name will probably accept the current incarnation, with Slash, as Guns N' Roses.

Obviously I was speaking hypothetically, as nobody knows if Finck is quitting or not. Did you not see the very first word of my post, "if"? By the way, IF Finck does quit, then HE will be the past...and at the same time, IF Slash joins, then HE will be the future!
