Fans can get "Alive" the brand new single from ADLER'S APPETITE — the band led by former GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler — for a limited time when they buy a copy of Adler's tell-all autobiography, "My Appetite for Destruction: Sex, and Drugs, and Guns N' Roses", before October 27, 2010.

A one-minute audio sample of the track can be streamed in the YouTube clip below.

For more information, go to this location.

In "My Appetite for Destruction", Adler tells all, fearlessly addressing his struggles with heroin and crack addiction; his financial ruin after being kicked out of GN'R; his shattered marriage; and the severe health problems that nearly claimed his life on several occasions.

Steven finally appears to have beaten his epic twenty-year addiction. He has remained clean and sober for over the last year under the watchful eye of family friend Dr. Drew Pinsky.

In "My Appetite For Destruction" he offers the no-bullshit reason why he believes he was kicked out of GUNS N' ROSES, and how it took 20 years to recover from that devastating blow.

Though his early years were a relentless nightmare of destructive behavior, Adler, who has overdosed over 20 times, had at least two heart attacks and a stroke, is now living clean and healthy. He has found salvation in sobriety and his first love — music. Steven is presently enjoying the success of his new band ADLER'S APPETITE as they begin a forty-plus-city tour.

About the author: Steven Adler was the drummer of GUNS N' ROSES from 1985 to 1990. In 2003, he founded ADLER'S APPETITE, with whom he released an EP and continues to perform live. He participated in the second season of VH1's "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" and was also on "Sober House", a "Celebrity Rehab" spin-off focusing on a sober living environment. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Carolina Adler.

Lawrence J. Spagnola, a Christopher Award-winning writer, worked with Steven on "My Appetite for Destruction".

Pretty cool song. Lyrics aren't great, but it's a great old school rock song.
Way to go Steven, looking forward to a new album from him.

And Yay, cowbell!!!!

You know, this is probably the best thing any of the GN'R alumni have really done on their own. I'm gonna try to find a different way to download it now. Cheesy
