I think Ashba is more of one than Finck ever will be. Ashba has written more stuff that people actually like than Finck. He wrote a good portion of the Motley Crue album that came out a couple years ago that was a big hit. Also, he helped write a good chunk of the Sixx AM album which has also been more successful than Chinese Democracy. You really don't know what you're talking about, so just shut up, already.

those songs failed because axl rose and his ego maniac didn't promote the chinese democracy album. that's why it didn't debut #1 as expected on the billboard top 200 album chart. the only album chart in the music biz that matters. chinese democracy continued going backward. eventually fell off the chart. into an abyss. been in an abyss ever since. so this is why the songs themselves didn't have success on the billboard singles charts. TIL could've been the next NR on the billboard singles charts and on Music Television. through massive radio airplay and a new EPIC music video. shown on FUSE, MTV, and VH1. but axl didn't release TIL as the first single..axl released the title track itself as the first single. that was the death of the singles. the singles had no shot after that blunder was made. every single that's come out since like BETTER and SOD haven't really gone anywhere because of the big bust the first single was. you know, this cheats robin finck out of his fortune and fame with gnr that slash had before him in gnr with the Illusions in the 90's. what a jip. not a big payoff. the big ripoff. i had high expectations in 2008. axl rose took away those expectations. what could've been so great in 2008..turned out to be so sad. i'm sad on this sunday sayin' "axl rose let his ego maniac get in the way of high hopes and ambitious dreams with fans for guns n roses." today is a sad day

Finck cheated himself(and GNR) out of fame and fortune. He left the band on his own and instead of helping Axl get ready to promote Chinese Democracy, he was partying with NIN groupies. Hell, Finck hasn't even made a comment about GNR or Chinese Democracy since he's left, as far as I know. This proves he doesn't give a fuck.
