Considering that they haven't logged any studio time in 2010 and they fired the guy who was supposed to video this tour, I think they're going to tour for the rest of the year. And considering that this is the lowest selling summer ever for U.S. concert tickets, I doubt they're going to try to tour the states.

This damn recession pretty much killed summer tours in the U.S. I really wanted to go see Aerosmith this summer, but the lowest costing ticket was $159. To be honest, its really ridiculous what concerts cost these days. Average joes used to be able to afford great tickets to see big name bands. Any more, if you want any chance of being front row or even close, you have to be saving for a long time or just be ridiculously rich. Bands used to lose money on doing tours. The only reason tours were done was to promote their new album. But now with internet piracy, they have to try to make money of the shows or else they never make any money. It's a lose/lose situation for everyone.

Since there isn't going to be a new album to promote any time soon, the only way we'd see the band there is if they get invited to do a surprise collaboration with some other band/singer. I can't think of any MTV friendly band that wouldn't be a total embarrassment to see GnR on stage with, so pray that doesn't happen.

There's always the chance Axl will get invited to present an award again though.

you're probably right. but when i first heard the first leaked demo of TWAT..my dream was then seeing guns n roses climax a MTV vma show doing that epic rocker..of course that was when  was in the band..  's out and now it's  . even though i don't like him, i still think of gnr headlining an live mtv tv show because when they're called upon..nobody does live music award show television better than guns n roses..i thought maybe they could pull off the magic again on this year's mtv video awards..

My feelings on DJ Ashba are kinda mixed. While I do like the stuff he does do, I think he's a bit too full of himself. He acts like such a big rockstar and thinks he's such a genius and legend. From what I've been told, he's actually a bit of jerk. I just wish he'd pull off some of the crazy stuff he used to do and incorporate that into some live solos and new music.

i agree.  is a jerk. he sucks balls every time he tries to master  's EPIC TIL solo live..

maybe you hear differently..but..my ears tell me  struggles on this solo every time..live..with guns n roses..that would kill price of admission for me..if they ever come to madison square garden again..you feel?

I've listened to him play it live a few different times. I don't think he's struggling. I still feel he's just trying to change it up in his own way. No one really wants to hear the same thing every time, and I think he's trying to cater to that. If he wanted to, I'm sure he could play it the way Robin did, he just doesn't want to.

  played the november rain and estranged solos the same way every night live with guns n roses..

But those were solos he wrote, though. DJ didn't write anything on CD so for TIL he wants to put his own artistic spin on the solo.
